Legendary Comic Artist Bob Hall

KaPow Comics & Coffee is pleased to announce the appearance of comics legend Bob Hall at our June Artist Showcase.  The Showcase will be extended to two days – June 24th and 25th, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM both days.BobHall4485 copy

Bob has been drawing comics since the early Bronze Age (1970’s). He studied comic art at the New York based John Buscema School of Comic Art.  His first work was for several Charlton Horror comics in 1974.  Bob has numerous comic titles to his credit as well as working with many comics publishers including Marvel and DC.

Bob Hall created the West Coast Avengers with writer Roger Stern.  He has worked on many Marvel titles including The Champions, Super Villain Team-Up, Avengers, Squadron Supreme, Amazing Spider-Man, and the graphic novel Emperor Doom. For DC, Bob contributed to Batman titles including three special projects in the “Prestige Series”, House of Mystery, and Weird War Tales.  His Valiant/Acclaim work includes a long run in the 90’s as the primary artist on Shadowman and was the writer artist creator of Armed and Dangerous.

Recently, Bob completed a project with the University of Nebraska drawing a fantasy comic book on viruses, Carnival of Contagion, to be used for education in the schools around Lincoln, Nebraska and will be distributed internationally.

Mark your calendars to join us at KaPow Comics & Coffee, June 24th and 25th, to meet and talk with a true comics great. Bob will have sketches and other art work available for sale, and will be drawing sketches per request on the spot.  We will also have comic issues of his work available for signature.
