KaPow is the only comic shop in Colorado Springs that is a dealer who can directly submit books for grading with CGC (Certified Guaranty Corporation) and CBCS (Comic Book Certification Service).
Submissions to Certified Vendors
We will pack and ship your books to your selected grading vendor and complete all necessary documents. We’ll keep track of your books which are shipped back to us, and we will notify you when received.
Processing/Service Fee
KaPow charges $20.00 for the first 5 books submitted per order. $5.00 each for additional books in the same order.
We also collect the Grading Fee charged by the selected vendor. The specific amount varies based on the turnaround time requested, the type of books, and any special services requested. We pass on our dealer discount on fees to our customers.
Shipping & Insurance
There is also a shipping and insurance fee which covers the cost to ship books to the vendor and return it to us.
If you are interested in submitting books for certified grading, bring them into the shop for Martin to look at, and he will be happy to let you know if your books make good candidates for grading. He can also give you an idea of how much it will cost.
Cleaning & Pressing
We also offer cleaning and pressing of comic books. Owner & comics expert, Martin Davidson, personally will clean and press books which may increase their grade. This can be done prior to submitting books for certified grading, or just if you want to improve their condition.
